Invacare Corporation is proud to continue to support veterans across the United States as a National Host Sponsor of the 37th Annual National Veterans Wheelchair Games (NVWG). Invacare has supported the NVWG since its inception 37 years ago.
The NVWG will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio from July 17-22 and feature a multitude of sporting events including basketball, handcycling, track, and table tennis.
“The pure talent, tenacity and devotion to the sport demonstrated by these veteran athletes makes us honored to continue to show our support for our veterans at the National Veterans Wheelchair Games,” said Dean Childers, senior vice president and general manager, Invacare North America.
Invacare associates will be on site throughout the week beginning Sunday, when they will be at the airport to help make sure the wheelchairs of veterans’ flying in for the games are unloaded and reassembled properly.
The küschall brand of custom manual wheelchairs, Invacare power wheelchairs—including the Invacare TDX SP2 Power Wheelchair with LiNX Technology set to launch in Q3—and Invacare Top End sports and recreation products will be on display during the NVWG’s expo day. Launched in February 2017, Invacare introduced three küschall wheelchairs, the küschall K-Series attract, küschall Advance, and küschall Champion, to Invacare’s custom manual wheelchair lineup in the United States. Veterans can experience the sleek design, Swiss quality engineering, and superior driveability and handling of küschall at the Invacare booth.
The new, interactive küschall Fit4ü Precision Wheelchair Fitting Program will be on hand during expo day. Fit4ü will allow veterans to visualize their own custom küschall wheelchair and understand its features and benefits.
To help ensure that veterans can focus on their events and perform at their best, Invacare will again offer wheelchair repair and tune ups throughout the week to help repair or replace anything that may have been bumped out of place during travel, warm up, or competition.
Fittings for küschall custom manual wheelchairs and Invacare Top End sports and recreation products will be available during expo day and in the Invacare Mobile Repair Room during the course of the games.
